Overall prize winner provided by Wellington City Council

Congratulations to Reusabowl for winning the overall prize of $2,000! Reusabowl is like Keepcups but for food - simple and epic!

Victoria Uni Entrepreneurs Bootcamp prize provided by Victoria University

Congratulations to Happy Earth! Happy Earth gamifies everyday actions to highlight their environmental impact. May the 3-month intensive bootcamp teach you all the entrepreneurial skills needed to prosper!

Waste challenge winner prize provided by Ministry for the Environment

Congratulations once again to Reusabowl for taking home an additional $1,000 to push them along in their progress.

Waste challenge runner up prize provided by Ministry for the Environment

Congratulations to 3purposeD for snagging $500 in the waste challenge runner up prize. 3purposeD are 3D printing products from recycled plastic filament at a big scale.

Food challenge winner prize provided by Greater Wellington Regional Council

Who Wants Seconds took home $1000 for their innovative idea in reducing food waste. Who Wants Seconds is reducing food wastage from local food retailers by creating an app that lets you know who has discounts on food at the end of the day near you.

Food challenge runner up prize provided by Greater Wellington Regional Council

High fives to Grow Space for securing $500 to further develop their idea. Grow Space stimulate a culture of indoor farming for the inner city of Wellington as well as create an indoor growing space to act as a hub of technology and learning in this area, which can also supply food to local vendors and residents.

Air transport challenge winner prize provided by Greater Wellington Regional Council

Awesome work Clean Steps for winning $1000! Clean Steps educate consumers o the climate impact of travel through an app so they have the ability to make climate conscious decisions.

Air transport challenge runner up prize provided by Greater Wellington Regional Council

A huge round of applause to our youngest Climathon 2018 participant Andreas! Who at just 16, managed to secure the runner up prize of $500. Andreas is running a youth lead recycling system in schools, looking to scale it across the country in the coming year.

Social Enterprise prize provided by Callaghan Innovation and Ākina Foundation

Congratulations to Sustainable Sustenance for winning a $500 cash prize from Callaghan Innovation and 3 x 1 hour consulting services with Ākina. Sustainable Sustenance is working with food businesses to offer suggestions on 'nudges' they can implement (through a one pager, and then further training if requested). This is to encourage customers to select healthier more sustainable menu options eg, swapping beef mince for pork mince in a lasagne, adding an extra veggie option, putting veggie and vegan options first on the menu

Product Business prize provided by Callaghan Innovation and MOTIF

Round of applause to No More Seconds for securing $500 from Callaghan Innovation and 3 x 1 hour strategy/consulting workshops from MOTIF. No More Seconds are making data on food waste easier to capture, and making this data accessible and usable by food prep. organisations to educate and drive behavioural changes.

Health/Product Business prize provided by Callaghan Innovation and Limber

3PurposeD took home another prize with $500 coming from Callaghan Innovation and 3 x 1 hour strategy/consulting workshops from Limber.

Digital/Finance prize provided by Callaghan Innovation and BNZ

Reusabowl cleaned up in prizes this year and won a third prize consisting of $500 from Callaghan Innovation 3 x 1 hour strategy/consulting services provided by BNZ along with two-months access for the entire team to the BNZ co-working space.

Creative Innovation Prize

Our youngest participant Andreas swept back in to take out a second prize. He secured a further $500 from Callaghan Innovation, 2 x 1 hour strategy/consulting workshops from Creative HQ as well as one-month access to their co-working space.
